Semiconductor Introduces New Switched Capacitor Charge Pump

National Semiconductor has announced a fixed-frequency switched-capacitor charge pump that provides regulated output of 4.5 volts and 5.0 volts. This LM2751 chip delivers up to 150mA of output current over an input voltage range of 2.8V to 5.5V, and requires only four inexpensive ceramic capacitors to support it. No need to add inductors at all. Device.
The LM2751 is suitable for a wide range of applications including white LED displays and keyboard backlight systems, as well as general purpose boost or buck/boost regulators. The LM2751 chip can be pre-regulated with a fixed frequency to ensure that the noise mixed into the system with input current is minimized and its switching frequency is predictable. Customers can choose to set the following switching frequencies: 725kHz, 300kHz, 37kHz or 9.5kHz. Product features of the LM2751 chip:
