For the electroless capacitor solution proposed by the LED power industry today, Liu Yongzhen, chairman and general manager of Emerald Electronics, believes that this solution has not been widely used, and harmonics, battery interference, expensive, bulky, and high power. Many related problems cannot be solved by removing the electrolytic capacitor.

Zhang Xiaobo pointed out that only the use of solid capacitors can completely solve the impact of electrolytic capacitors on the LED drive power and LED lamp life and characteristics. The solid capacitor relies on the solid conductive polymer as the electrolyte to conduct electricity. The conductive mechanism is based on electron conduction, which has better conductivity, superior comprehensive performance, and no electrolyte leakage, which protects other components of the circuit.

Beginning in 2010, Emerald began research and development of a new generation of conductive polymer solid capacitors to promote the upgrading of LED drive power. After more than a year, the company's R&D team has developed a series of conductive polymer solid capacitors, some of which are at the leading domestic and international advanced level.

Liu Yongzheng said, "Emerald's Solid-State Capacitors can achieve such a design effect: under ultra-high temperature conditions, solid-state capacitors do not have electrolysis. In the process of high temperature, no air intake will occur and the drum bottom will not occur. If accidentally used, let If the electrolytic capacitor is broken, it will not cause leakage or fire. In low temperature, since it is not ion-conducting but electronically conductive, its low-temperature capacity attenuation is small; it is used for LED power supply. Even in the case of ultra-low temperatures, the LEDs work properly."

Zhang Xiaobo is very optimistic about the development prospects of solid capacitors. "We plan to sell 50% of the company's products in the next three years, and will gradually replace liquid capacitors in five years."

Zhang Xiaobo said, "We will be exhibiting 160V solid capacitors for the first time, which is second to none in the industry. At present, solid capacitors in the industry can only achieve 63V."
